The largest festival
of Irish music, song and dance ever, with over 250,000 people gathering
from all over the world, during this week long cultural celebration.
Tullamore has been confirmed as the venue for the 58th Fleadh Cheoil na
hÉireann in 2009
and it promises to be even bigger and better. Although not the
sponsoring Branch, Tullamore CCE
will be lending its full support once again.
The Branch runs a
session in Joe Lees on the second Tuesday of every month. It is always
good and all are welcome.
Christmas
Concerts
We hold a Christmas
Concert every year where children and adults alike perform. Very ofter
Santa himself makes a surprise appearance. This year the concert will
take place in Tullamore
Rugby Club on Friday, January 25th. See our picture galleries!
Annual Concert
Tullamore Comhaltas
hosts a big traditional concert every year. The 2009 Concert will
mark the 25th anniversary of the Branch, will feature top performers
and will be held the Bridge House, Millenium Room on March 13th.
Annual Pub Quiz
The highly popular
annual Pub Quiz is held every year in February and is followed by a
session, time permitting. The White House Pub was the
venue once again in 2009 and we had an excellent night.
